Okay, so this one isn’t technically ‘abandoned’. It is actually a set of fake Roman ruins placed in the grounds of the Imperial palace in Austria by the Hapsburgs.

I can’t get over how gorgeous this greenhouse is despite it’s ruined condition.
I suspect that the books on this photo are a newer addition to the building, but I still love the juxtaposition between the past and the present.
President William McKinley was shot under this exquisite dome back in 1901, at the Pan American Exposition in Buffalo, NY.
Sadly this once beautiful room has now fallen into abandon.
